Rules

1.
Would you like to take part? See how you can share your story with us at www.dedelftseblik.nl.

2.
When submitting, tell us clearly whether your contribution should be published under your name or anonymously.

3.
You can share your story with us in several ways. Consider the following points when sharing a story:

  • You can send in your story in whatever language you want. On the digital form, indicate in the ‘Your story’ space in Dutch or English what the relevant language is. We will arrange a translation into Dutch and English.
  • Are you sharing your story with us in a (hand) written letter that you upload via our website? Please make sure it fits on one A4 sheet of paper, in a letter size no smaller than 11 points. You can also add images.
  • Are you sharing your story in an audio recording? Please make sure it is not longer than 4 minutes. When in doubt: get in touch. We would be happy to help you.
  • Please make sure that files you send us do not exceed 5 MB. For large files, you can use WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive or other file-sharing systems.
  • You will always receive an acknowledgement of receipt from us within 48 hours of sending in your contribution. Have you not received this? Possibly, we have not received your story. First, check your spam box. If the acknowledgement is not there either, please contact us by phone.

    4.
Before you submit a contribution, we ask you to agree to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Statement. This is a condition of participating. Please read these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Statement carefully, so you know what you are agreeing to and what (other) conditions your submission must meet.

    5.
We reserve the right to provide your story with a context, to edit it or adapt it in some other way in order to present it in a (digital) exhibition or in one of the other ways mentioned in point 5 of the Terms and Conditions.

    6.
If you have described other people in such a way that they are recognisable, included them or recorded them (in an image), always ask for their written permission for this use, as mentioned in point 5 of the Terms and Conditions, before you share your contribution with us.

    7.
Your submission will be preserved in the collection of the Museum Prinsenhof Delft and can be used in the future, for example, as part of a physical or digital exhibition.

    8.
You are sharing your story with us without any (monetary) compensation in return.

    9.
Be careful with the contribution you submit. Make sure your contribution does not violate any rights (copyrights, trademark rights, rights of privacy etc.) of others and meets all conditions. If, for example, you use texts produced by others, you must have their written consent to use them in your contribution and to give us permission to use them, as mentioned in point 5 of the Terms and Conditions.

    10.
If you are under the age of 16, you must get the written permission of one of your parents or a legal representative before giving us your personal data. We therefore ask you not to send in a contribution and/or give us this kind of data in any other way (for example, via email) before you have received permission to do so.

    11.
Have you sent us your story, but want to change something? Do you want to withdraw your permission for use? Or do you have other questions about participating? Please contact us at dedelftseblik@delft.nl.
